Horton Housing are currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead on the rent and service charge setting for the organisation.This is an exciting development opportunity for someone with rents and service charge knowledge and experience to join our experienced and established team. Salary range for the this full time (35 hours per week) permanent position is £43 490 to £47 485 and you will be entitled to 6 weeks annual leave (plus bank holidays)as well as full access to our Employee Assistance Programme. As Finance Manager, y ou will have line management of the Rents Administration Manager, strengthening the link between the Finance and Rents Administration Departments.As well as leading on rents, you will also monitor and advise on procurement of services across the organisation and other value for money activity.This role is pivotal in ensuring financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and value-for-money procurement practices that support our housing and facilities operations. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Proven experience in rent and service charge accounting within social housing Strong knowledge of housing regulations, rent standards, and service charge compliance Awareness of procurement processes and strategies Experience in the preparation of accurate and timely information Be highly IT literate, with strong Excel skills. Show strong analytical skills and the ability to interrogate data effectively. Communicate confidently with housing officers, tenants, and local authorities. Be values-driven, collaborative, and solutions-focused, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and get things done. DESIRABLE Hold or be working towards a qualified finance qualification (ACCA or equivalent) Experience of managing and developing teams with rent or procurement responsibilities For the full role profile please see the attached job description.
