As Hospital Director, you will take full operational, commercial and strategic responsibility for a well-established private hospital with a strong reputation for clinical quality, patient outcomes and operational performance. This is far more than a traditional operational leadership role. The successful candidate will help lead a major site transition and contribute to the development of what is expected to become one of the organisation’s flagship hospitals over the coming years. What you’ll be doing

* Provide overall leadership, management and strategic direction for all hospital operations.
* Ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality clinical services.
* Take full accountability for operational, financial and commercial performance, including EBITDA delivery and revenue growth.
* Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes and service excellence.
* Drive operational efficiency, patient flow, theatre utilisation and productivity improvements.
* Maintain full regulatory compliance and act as Registered Manager with the relevant authority.
* Lead governance, audit, quality improvement and patient safety frameworks.
* Develop and strengthen relationships with consultants, commissioners and external stakeholders.
* Support the continued growth of private healthcare services and wider business development initiatives.
* Lead the hospital through a major future redevelopment and transition programme.
* Foster a positive, high-performing and collaborative culture focused on staff engagement and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to wider strategic projects and leadership initiatives across the organisation.


What we’re looking for

* Extensive Hospital Director-level experience within the independent healthcare sector.
* Proven track record of delivering operational, financial and clinical performance within a hospital environment.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex budgets and delivering EBITDA targets.
* Demonstrable experience leading service development, transformation and quality improvement programmes.
* Strong understanding of healthcare regulation, governance and compliance standards.
* Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams across clinical and non-clinical functions.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
* Confident, credible and resilient leadership style with strong communication abilities.
* Degree or recognised management qualification desirable.
