Part Time Store Protection Officer – Waitrose, Bath.
Payrate £15.64 per hour, breaks unpaid. Guaranteed number of hours per week, permanent location.
Job Overview
* Retail Security Officer role to protect the Waitrose store, its people, and/or assets by providing security and excellent customer service through Mitie and Waitrose key values.
* £15.64 per hour payrate alongside numerous Mitie benefits including Save As You Earn, Share Incentive Plan, Cycle to Work, Life Assurance and Childcare Vouchers.

What We Are Looking For
* Previous security experience.
* SIA License.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Energy and enthusiasm.
Main Duties
Operations
* Ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
* Engage with National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management, use of all technology provided, including body cams and mobile devices to aid in reporting incidents.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Review and suggest amendments to the published Assignment Instructions to improve service levels.
* Comply with Industry and Statutory Legislation, obtain and wear the required front‑line licence.
* Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training
* Complete all required competency training.
* Undertake training to ensure continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
* Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Immediately report Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
* Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to reduce chances of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Complete a detailed notebook entry after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
