The Working Capital Manager will lead the firm's efforts to optimise cash flow, reduce cash lock-up days, and streamline processes across WIP (Work in Progress) and debt. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role manages both the billing and credit control teams, ensuring best practice in billing, collections, and credit management. The successful candidate will be a proactive change agent, removing administrative burden from lawyers' desks and enabling fee earners to focus on client delivery. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's financial performance, working collaboratively across departments to deliver measurable improvements in cash conversion and process efficiency across the firm's service lines. The person Experience & Qualifications: CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) accreditation, or demonstrable experience in WIP management within a law firm or similar professional services environment. Proven track record of delivering process improvements and measurable reductions in cash lock-up. Experience managing billing and/or credit control teams, with evidence of talent development and succession planning.
