Duties
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a PRODUCT MANAGER to join our Services and Specialties PMM Team.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager of Services and Specialties, you will be responsible for developing the Product Portfolio to maximize profit and achieve targets through direct lead product management and shadow accountability within the business.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Assist in preparing and reviewing performance against annual targets and budgets.
2. Take corrective actions to recover targeted levels where necessary.
3. Negotiate with suppliers for purchase and distribution agreements and pricing.
4. Control selling prices to maximize gross margins using pricing tools and systems.
5. Establish, monitor, and update product selling schedules.
6. Manage interactions with suppliers and colleagues to improve service levels and delivery performance via VPM and other means.
7. Coordinate with supply chain planners for forecasts and stock levels.
8. Collaborate with sales on product availability, forecasting, and allocation, liaising between stock, sites, and suppliers.
9. Identify aged or unproductive stock, take appropriate actions, and review DSI data.
10. Work closely with Marketing and Digital teams to maximize added value options.
11. Support external sales personnel with technical advice and participation in customer meetings.
12. Improve margins through cost management and market or value-driven pricing initiatives.
13. Identify and recommend new suppliers or products, and implement action plans.
14. Launch new products effectively and ensure relevant training is provided.
15. Compile and present market information and monthly business performance reports to stakeholders.

* A strong commercial operator with a proven record of delivering growth and motivation.
* Good numeracy and statistical skills.
* Proficiency in Excel; experience with Salesforce, Tableau is advantageous.
* Effective communication skills, with candor and urgency when needed.
* Flexibility to handle varying tasks.
* Accuracy, calmness, and ability to meet deadlines.
* A customer-focused attitude and a team player mentality.
