Job Description
We are seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Consultant to join our specialist Cost Assurance team. This role supports our growth and aims to make a difference for our business and clients.
You will be a part of our Ireland/European Advisory business, working within the Cost Assurance team to review actual costs, drive supply chain improvements, and increase efficiency across major programs and projects. The main responsibilities include:
* Deliver successful Cost Assurance projects for Turner & Townsend
* Lead and support junior team members, fostering their development
* Contribute to service line development through bids and business generation
* Refine internal training and product management related to the service line
Job Objectives
* Review contractor systems and controls, providing insights on best practices
* Analyze complex construction contracts (NEC3/4/ICE Bespoke)
* Utilize data visualization and trend analysis tools like PowerBI/Tableau to test data
* Produce clear, professional reports with key findings and recommendations
* Maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
* Engage with the supply chain to promote collaboration and assurance
Required Skills
* Experience or understanding of assurance or audit in construction, commercial, or accounting contexts
* Knowledge of construction technical matters and procurement processes
* Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts
* Data analysis skills, with experience in PowerBI/Tableau preferred
* Strong report writing and communication skills
* Teamwork and organizational skills to handle variable workloads
* Confident presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Professional skepticism and integrity in challenging situations
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent
* Professional membership (MRICS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) or working towards it
Experience
* Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in practice or industry, with practical knowledge of open book/cost reimbursable contracts (NEC3/4, FIDIC, IChemE, etc.)
