We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to support operations across a range of waste water treatment plants in Central Scotland. This is a contract role for a minimum of 3 months, offering a competitive day/hourly rate. The successful candidate will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of electrical systems essential to the safe and efficient operation of wastewater facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on a variety of systems within wastewater treatment plants.
* Work with pumps, motors, control panels, and instrumentation.
* Ensure all work is compliant with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
* Respond promptly to plant breakdowns and assist in diagnosing issues.
* Liaise with site supervisors and engineers to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain clear documentation of all work undertaken.
Requirements:
* Qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential – travel between sites required).
* Proven experience within the water or wastewater industry (essential).
* Experience working on treatment plants, pumping stations, or similar environments.
* Strong understanding of electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* ECS/CSCS card desirable.
