Statistician - Strand, London, WC2R 2LS About us:
The post holder will work alongside internationally renowned King’s College London clinicians and scientists to evaluate novel interventions and medications in psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience. With a background of epidemiology and medical statistics the post holder will impact on improved understanding of health outcomes, the exposures that influence on them, and mechanisms of how therapies and therapeutics work.
About the role:
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week) and you will be offered a fixed-term contract until 30th April 2028.
The post holder will be a trial statistician and work closely with study teams in the conduct, analysis, and report randomized controlled trials and well-planned cohort studies.
Within King’s Clinical Trials Unit (KCTU) the mental health statistics group are 15 statisticians working on a portfolio of 40 to 50 clinical trials. The team works closely with the mental health clinical trials methodology group.
Our mission revolves around the meticulous methodological oversight of clinical trials in mental health and neuroscience. We have an unwavering commitment to the development of trial designs which possess the resilience to provide answers to pivotal clinical inquiries. We operate in close collaboration with clinical colleagues spanning King\\\'s Health Partners (KHP) and the broader UK clinical academic community.
We are dedicated to increasing capacity in clinical trial statisticians at the IoPPN while assuring robust clinical trial quality – a commitment firmly rooted in the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
We work in all areas of mental health research and have a track record of delivery of all phases.
