Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce that a vacancy has become available in our MYDoc registrar programme. The post will be a combination of service delivery and educational input within the specialty. This post is not a recognised UK training post. However, the post-holder will have a named supervisor, and be supported in undertaking scheduled educational opportunities within the Trust and specialty. The post is ideally suited for a St3/4 equivalent trainee who would like further exposure and experience in the speciality prior to national recruitment. Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post will include:
* Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients with acute and chronic conditions including complex cases.
* Assisting and operating (with or without direct supervision) on patients in theatre depending on attained surgical competencies.
* Referral of patients to other specialities as appropriate.
* Involvement in specialty and cross-specialty multi-disciplinary teams and meetings.
* Teaching and supervision of resident medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate.
* Active involvement in audit & clinical governance including service improvement activities.
* Participation in acute non-resident middle grade on-call rota.

Qualifications & Requirements
To meet the requirements of this role, applicants must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
* Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
* Medical Degree from recognised medical school.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Pre‑registration / foundation training and at least one year in a relevant specialty in an NHS Trust or with equivalent experience from overseas.
* Demonstrates intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving.
