Main Duties/Responsibilities
As an Adult Psychiatry Consultant, you will:
* Assess new referrals, deliver therapy, or refer patients for interventions, and review medications.
* Formulate care plans, prescribe treatments, and guide evidence-based practices.
* Support patients and families, explaining diagnoses and treatments clearly.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for shared decision-making.
* Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams.
* Prioritize patient needs, delegate tasks, and monitor patient progress.
* Perform administrative tasks, record keeping, and treatment monitoring.
* Mentor junior doctors and medical students.
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
* MBChB or equivalent
* CCT or CESR at interview or in training, within six months of CCT
* Inclusion on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR
* Recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
