School Administrator / Receptionist
Location: Erdington, Birmingham

Contract: Full-time, long-term (for the full academic year)

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established mainstream school in Erdington to recruit an experienced School Administrator / Receptionist to join their team from January 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term role covering the entire academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of a busy school office.
The Role:
Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
Managing telephone calls, emails and face-to-face enquiries professionally
Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff
Maintaining accurate pupil records and data (SIMS/ARBOR or similar systems)
Supporting attendance, admissions and general office duties
Ensuring safeguarding and school procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a school office is essential
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence using school management systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
