Role Overview
We are engaging an experienced CAD Engineer for a short:term contract opportunity, supporting the verification, tracing, and updating of plant P and ID drawings. This role is hands:on and delivery:focused, involving field walkdowns to ensure drawings accurately reflect the physical plant, and updating documentation to produce clear, as:built drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Trace and verify pipework against existing plant drawings
- Conduct field walkdowns to confirm accuracy of P and ID drawings
- Update and redline P and ID drawings to reflect as:built conditions
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely documentation of changes
- Collaborate with site engineers and project teams to resolve discrepancies
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working as a CAD Engineer in an industrial or plant environment
- Strong hands:on experience with AutoCAD and P and ID drawings
- Ability to carry out site verification and field walkdowns
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Desirable Experience
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Previous work in chemical, pharma, utilities, or manufacturing plants
- Understanding of piping specifications, valve types, and instrumentation symbols
