Are you passionate about supporting the deaf community and ensuring further inclusion? Do you hold a Level 3 BSL qualification or above or have BSL as your 1st language? British Sign Language Teacher 0.2 FTE 7.2hrs per week, we are looking for a start date of 18th August 2025 Teaching on the Signature suite of BSL programmes, you will follow the specification and prepare learners for their assessments at the end of their course. You will engage with all aspects of the teaching programmes ensuring that students participate in innovative lessons that motivate whilst also supporting progression and achievement. Here’s the standard bit: You’ll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles; taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs, whilst assessing learners progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets. What you’ll need : - Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2, you must also have a Level 3 qualification in BSL. Ideally, you will hold a Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
