Job Purpose:
The position, working as part of the Croydon & Kingston Area team will be responsible for the restoration of LV supplies on the UK Power Networks LV distribution system, carrying out jointing repairs on the HV and LV cable networks. After a period of appropriate training, you will be required to carry out the full range of Troubleperson activities including first line response and permanent fault repair work at voltages up to 33kV.
Principal Accountabilities:
10. Location of faults on the Distribution network
11. The restoration of HV & LV supplies
12. Testing and switching on the HV & LV network – and understanding the results of the tests and acting appropriately
13. Any other relevant jointing duties
14. Supervision of excavating teams
15. Understanding operational and 1:500 diagrams
16. LV and HV jointing
17. Use of appropriate IT equipment including TDR, LV Faults sniffer and FFE equipment
18. Immediate supervision of a working party
Nature and Scope:
The person undertaking this role plays a vital role in the safe and timely restoration of LV & HV supplies. The Company is regulated by various guidelines, and this role is particularly important in ensuring successful compliance with Customer Minutes Lost and Customer Interruption targets. The job holder may be required to work at any location within the UK Power Networks area, initially within the South East Region.

20. IOSH Managing Safety or be willing to undertake a course of study to achieve this
21. Streetworks qualification Units 1, 2, 3 and supervisor
22. Flexibility and able to work alone and in a team environment
23. Ability to problem solve in a practical way
24. Able to work under pressure
25. Must have a clean driving licence
