We’re Hiring: Security Officer. Location: Chelmsford, CM8 2UX. Pay: £12.71 per hour. Hours: 24 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday days). Grade: 3.1 Site Based. See a Different World. Where potential is seen and progress is nurtured.
What you’ll do
You’ll play a vital part in safeguarding people, property, and information within a high-profile corporate environment. Your visible presence, professionalism, and attention to detail will deter risk, maintain order, and ensure the site operates safely and securely at all times.
Responsibilities include:
* Proactive patrols and access control
* Monitoring security systems and managing gatehouse operations
* Responding to incidents and following robust security procedures
* Supporting business continuity and maintaining a calm, authoritative approach
Requirements
* A valid SIA licence
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Be punctual and reliable
* The right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
* Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
* A First Aid qualification would be advantageous
* Prior experience as a Security Officer in the security industry is desirable
