We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Pharmacists to be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team as part of a rotational programme, to include clinical pharmacy services, dispensary, aseptics, and oncology among others. This post is open to registered pharmacists as well as pre-registration candidates aiming to sit the summer exam. We will support you in the development of your career. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills along with a strong team spirit. Please note only face interviews will be held. Remote interviews are not available.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing clinical pharmacy services to inpatient beds, taking responsibility for allocated ward areas or patients.
2. Providing clinical supervision for pre-registration pharmacists, medicines management technicians, rotational technicians, pharmacy assistants, and pharmacy students.
3. Participating in a rotational post across five areas: Main Dispensary, St Luke's Satellite Oncology Dispensary, Aseptic Unit, Clinical Services, Medicines Information, and Community Services.
4. Working in partnership with the Chief Pharmacist and other pharmacists to ensure safe, effective, economical, and timely pharmaceutical care, guided by departmental procedures, good manufacturing practice, and hospital policies.
5. Dispensing and supplying medicines, assisting in aseptic product production, providing medicines advice, and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation and local policies.
6. Providing out-of-hours emergency pharmacy services.
7. Undertaking the postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or an equivalent qualification.
