Job Title: Application Architect
Total Experience Required: 10+ Information Technology/Computers/Software
Relevant Experience Required: 2+ years in application architecture and system design, 5+ years in C#, .NET, REST APIs
Work Location: Manchester, UK
1. Must be currently based in Manchester, UK, or
2. Willing to relocate to Manchester, UK from anywhere within Europe or UK

Job Type: Permanent / Fulltime with the client
Visa/Work Authorization Status: Candidates must hold a valid work permit or visa to work in the UK

We’re seeking a highly experienced Application Architect for a fulltime role supporting a leading enterprise’s digital transformation initiatives. Based in Manchester, this hybrid position requires 3 days onsite weekly. You’ll play a key role in shaping modern, scalable application solutions aligned with long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture standards
* Design application solutions in partnership with development and business teams
* Establish best practices for microservices, integration, and API management
* Guide cloud migration and application modernization initiatives
* Ensure architectural compliance with security and regulatory standards
Top 5 Essential Skills
* Enterprise application architecture and system design
* Expertise in C#, .NET, REST APIs
* Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
* Microservices design and integration strategy
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Top 5 Optional Skills
* Degree in Computer Science or related field
* Familiarity with event-driven and cloud-native architectures
* Certifications in architecture or cloud technologies
* Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
* Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks
