Role Overview
The Wealth Planning team is responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning advice to individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts. We work with clients to create bespoke financial plans, considering the whole market to find the best solutions.

* Offshore and international planning for non‑domiciled and non‑resident clients
* Venture Capital Trust, Enterprise Investment Scheme and Business Relief advice
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and maintenance of client files
* Collect and analyse client’s financial information and work with the Wealth Planner to determine strategies for meeting client objectives
* Ensure all compliance documentation is recorded in line with LGT Wealth Planning’s procedure manual and FCA guidelines
* Accurately record client information and documentation within Intelligent Office back‑office management system
* Identify and obtain information necessary to complete a cash flow model (if required)
* Build and validate cash flow models using the cash flow modelling tool, ensuring all data input is accurate and correct
* Prepare an analysis document detailing outputs and key findings from the modelling, aligned with Wealth Planner and client requirements
* Attend client meetings with the Wealth Planner as needed
o Research and record all technical and product data relevant to the client and specific advice being provided, both independently and alongside the Wealth Planner
o Provide technical support to the Wealth Planner regarding specific queries relating to the advice
o Analyse the client’s existing products/financial arrangements to determine suitability in meeting objectives
o Work with the Wealth Planner to identify suitable solutions
o Undertake financial calculations relevant to the advice
o Manage preparation and completion of comprehensive financial advice letters and suitability reports in line with procedure manual
o Ensure recommendations are detailed in a clear, concise, jargon‑free manner (including retirement planning, estate planning, cash flow reports, or financial strategy plans)
o Confirm all client data in advice letters and suitability reports is accurate and correct
o Obtain correct advice sign‑off before issuing letters and reports
o Liaise with client’s LGT investment manager, legal advisor, accountant, and tax advisers where applicable
o Oversee implementation of recommendations, ensuring the advice file is in order before passing to the Administration Manager for new business submission
o Oversee completion of application forms by the administration team before issuing to the client
o Work with administration team to oversee implementation of agreed recommendations
o Prepare for client reviews
o Act as main point of contact with providers and third parties
* Update existing cash flow models and record technical/product data for annual reviews where required
* Manage administrative tasks, including letter writing, chasing letters of authority, and obtaining information from third parties; undertake administration independently when the team is not available
Knowledge and Qualifications
* CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent
* Working towards the CII Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning is desirable
* 3 years’ experience in a holistic Paraplanning role (less experience may be considered if equivalent skills are demonstrated)
Skills and Attributes
* Excellent understanding of financial planning and the regulatory advice process
* Strong grasp of compliance requirements within a financial planning team
* Good knowledge of financial planning products and suitability assessment relative to client objectives
* Ability to produce bespoke advice reports in a clear, concise manner
* Methodical and practical approach to work and delivery of financial advice
* Good planning and organisational skills; able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
* Ability to manage expectations for internal and external parties
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory and legislative changes; maintain high level of technical financial planning knowledge
* Integrity and honesty; strong attention to detail
* Experience of cash flow planning software (Voyant desirable)
* Experience of Intelligent Office (iO), Synaptics Research, and IRESS Exchange preferable
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills desirable
