We’re partnering with a category leading, growing, omni-channel retailer in the home furnishings sector to appoint a commercially focused Head of Digital.
Operating across multiple consumer brands, this business has built a strong market position through a blend of showroom retail, in-home consultation and digital commerce. With ambitious growth plans and continued investment in digital capability, this is a pivotal leadership role with significant visibility and impact.
The Head of Digital will own the end-to-end online customer journey, driving performance across ecommerce trading, conversion optimisation, onsite experience, content and SEO. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial instincts with deep digital trading expertise and a data-led approach to customer experience.
The Role
Reporting into the CMO, you’ll lead the digital trading and optimisation agenda across the group’s portfolio of brands, with responsibility for maximising both direct online sales and qualified lead generation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Owning and optimising the onsite customer journey to improve engagement, conversion and enquiry generation
* Driving digital trading performance through merchandising, content strategy, UX improvements and customer insight
* Leading CRO initiatives, testing programmes and onsite personalisation activity
* Developing and executing the SEO and organic growth strategy across multiple brands
* Managing onsite content strategy to ensure a compelling and commercially effective customer experience
* Using analytics and performance data to identify opportunities and improve digital KPIs
* Collaborating closely with brand, performance marketing, CRM, insight and tech teams
* Supporting broader digital transformation and omnichannel growth initiatives
About you:
We’re looking for a commercially minded digital leader with experience operating in a fast-paced consumer, retail or ecommerce environment.
You’ll likely bring:
* Proven experience leading digital trading and onsite optimisation for a consumer-facing brand
* Strong understanding of ecommerce performance metrics, CRO and customer journey optimisation
* Deep knowledge of SEO, organic growth and content strategy
* Experience balancing ecommerce sales with lead generation objectives
* Strong analytical capability with confidence using data to drive decision-making
* Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and digital specialists
* A hands-on, commercially driven approach with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
