Upper KS2 Learning Support Assistant (LSA - Year 5 & 6)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks, plus 5 Inset Days per year
Contract: Permanent
Pay Grade: Grade 5, Point 7-8 (Currently £25191-£25590 per annum – Actual salary £18938-£19238)
Start Date: 20 August 2026
Applications are invited for the post of KS2 Learning Support Assistant at St Mary's CE Primary School. Our lovely school is in the beautiful town of Melton Mowbray, and we currently have 183 pupils on roll.
This exciting role provides support for teaching and learning, including supporting the needs of children with SEND and supervising children during lunchtime. Experience working with Upper KS2 pupils (Years 5 & 6) is an essential requirement for this role. A passion for working with young children with additional needs and disabilities is essential, as is experience of supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting. In addition, the successful candidate will have GCSE's Grade C/4 or equivalent in Maths and English.
