Driver Project Services (DPS) is a multidisciplinary consultancy firm with over 45 years of experience operating across the UK. DPS provides a comprehensive range of planning, project management, and commercial management services for both construction and civil engineering projects. As a rapidly expanding organisation, DPS is actively seeking talented candidates interested in opportunities on a permanent staff basis to work with our Client in the Construction & Engineering sector on a large-scale, long-term Energy project. Key Responsibilities include; - Measurement & reporting of Contractor / Subcontractor performance. - Verify Contractors / Subcontractors application for payments - Certify agreed applications and issue payment certificates. - Ensuring Contractor estimates are challenged and agreed. - Review scopes of work and carry out gap analysis. - Providing accurate live forecasting & reporting as required by the individual stakeholders and / or project needs. - Ensure client accounting system accurately reflects project and frame contract status in terms of actual and forecast revenue, costs, work in progress (WIP) and obligations. - Pre & Post contract management of various subcontracts. - Making sure actual costs are properly monitored and assessed against the baseline estimate all site costs including direct labour, plant & materials, all management bookings and challenge any variance to the plans. - Robust project controls and accurate reporting of progress/work done, contractors responsibilities, early warnings, payment, compensation events, risk and opportunities. - Ensuring that proper records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available. - Ensuring robust estimates are provided that are aligned to scope and makes allowance for all risks and opportunities. - Alignment to the overall commercial strategy within our clients operations to ensure goals, targets and objectives are delivered. Essential Knowledge & Skills; - Extensive contract administration experience working with NEC, IChemE, FIDIC and/or bespoke contracts. - Experience of dealing with operational and project teams. - 5 years experience working within a contracting or customer commercial role. - Degree qualified or at least 8 years relevant industry experience.
