We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join a supportive secondary school team.
The successful candidate will inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore performance, creativity, and confidence through drama and theatre studies. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Drama Teacher:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.
* Teach performance, devising, and theory skills across KS3 and KS4; KS5 teaching is desirable but not essential.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to support growth and achievement.
* Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with varied abilities and learning styles.
* Organise and contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular drama activities.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
Ideal Drama Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
* Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Theatre Arts.
* Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama (KS5 desirable).
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Drama Teacher.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners of all abilities.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
