Job Title: Facilities Assistant – TEMP
Location: Redhill and South Croydon (across two sites)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 5:00pm
Salary: £12.50 – £13.50 per hour
Start: ASAP - week to week basis
The Role:
The Facilities Assistant plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the college facilities across both sites. This position involves supporting staff, students, and visitors by maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The role also includes assisting with events, room setups, and general site upkeep, with customer service and service excellence at the forefront of all activities.
Please note – successful applicants must undertake a full DBS check (criminal records check) and provide full five-year referencing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the general upkeep and presentation of buildings and grounds.
* Carry out basic maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
* Monitor and report maintenance or repair issues promptly to the facilities team.
* Inspect and maintain fixtures and fittings within communal areas.
* Set up and dismantle furniture, equipment, and layouts for events, meetings, and college activities.
* Transport materials, furniture, and supplies as required.
* Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
* Provide directions and general information to enhance the visitor and student experience.
* Manage internal and external mail deliveries and collections.
* Ensure refreshments and essential supplies are adequately stocked and distributed.
* Support the security of all areas, ensuring spaces are safe and secure for students and staff.
* Report any incidents, hazards, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
* Perform other reasonable duties as required by the facilities team.
