We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Care Home catering team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties
* Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
* Support chefs with cooking tasks as required, contributing to meal presentation and service.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
* Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
* Serve meals to residents or guests as needed, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in catering or restaurant settings.
* Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are advantageous.
* Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are necessary for success in this role.

Other Information:
* We are looking to recruit 1 x Kitchen Assistant working 33 hours per week on a 2 week rolling rota this includes working weekends, bank holidays & the festive period therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
* Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and 2 x Employer references.
