GSL Education are hiring a motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to students with additional learning needs, with opportunities available across schools situated in the WF4 locality of Wakefield. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support a designated student’s learning, build confidence, and encourage independence within a safe, inclusive environment. Prime Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support tailored to the student’s individual needs. Assist with classroom tasks, activities, and learning resources. Encourage engagement, independence, and positive behaviour. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support learning goals. Requirements of 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting. Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and support learners with varying needs. A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
