Job Purpose:
As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will design, develop, and deliver undergraduate teaching materials, ensure high-quality educational experiences, and contribute to research and practice in the field. You will also guide students, support field activities, and foster collaborative learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching & Curriculum Development: Deliver engaging lectures, develop curriculum materials aligned with industry standards, and apply varied teaching techniques.
* Student Assessment & Support: Supervise projects and placements, develop assessment methods, and support students academically and pastorally.
* Research & Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities, collaborate on research, seek funding, and establish links with health and social care providers.
* Administrative & Quality Assurance: Manage academic duties, ensure compliance with quality standards, and contribute to program reviews and accreditation.
Person Specification:
* Qualifications: Master's degree in Health and Social Care or related; PhD preferred; teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
* Experience: Teaching or training experience in higher education; practical sector experience preferred; research engagement advantageous.
* Skills: Strong communication, adaptable teaching methods, sensitivity in handling student needs.
