We are looking for an Events Team Member at The Barnsley Metrodome! A little more about the role: We are looking for a proactive, reliable, and hardworking Events Team Member to join our busy events operations team. This role is hands-on and varied, supporting the smooth running of a wide range of events including boxing, snooker, darts, gymnastics, exhibitions, and other large-scale functions. You will play an essential role in preparing event spaces, ensuring equipment is safely set up, tested, and dismantled to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Set up and dismantle event equipment, staging, seating, barriers, and signage according to event requirements. Assist with the build and breakdown of events such as boxing matches, snooker tournaments, darts events, gymnastics competitions, and exhibitions. Ensure all equipment is handled safely and stored correctly. Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and event organisers to deliver high-quality event setups. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in back-of-house and event preparation areas. Follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines. Provide general support during events as required. About You Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks. A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and long shifts based on event schedules. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Experience in events, venue operations, or similar manual/technical work is desirable but not essential-full training will be provided. Why Join Us?
