The role of a Registered Nurse is varied, both equally challenging & rewarding, you will be at the forefront of providing direct patient care. Whilst also supporting the wider multi-disciplinary teams in your department & across the Trust who are motivated in promoting the delivery of clinically effective patient centered care & a dynamic service to all our patients & families.You should be able to demonstrate a good verbal & written command of English, excellent communication, & interpersonal skills as you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the patients' healthcare experiences by contributing to the on-going support of the patients and their visitors.Are you a Graduate Nurse in the next 6 months? Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will be responsible for (leading / delivering) excellence in Nursing care in accordance with the Trust's Nursing & Midwifery Strategy and the Bradford Model Of Nursing and Midwifery Care.

Please note this role supports a 24/7 service and therefore, as Registered Nurse, you will be required to work a combination of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays:

- Early Shift: 7:00am-15:00pm / 7:30am - 15:30pm- Long Day: 7:00 am - 7:30pm / 07:30am - 8pm- Late Shift: 12:00 Noon - 8pm- Night Shift: 7pm - 7:30 am / 7:30-pm - 8am

Full time hours = 37.5 HrsPart time hours = 23.5 Hrs to 30 Hrs.The Minimum required hours for this role are = 23.5 Hrs.

Job responsibilities

Responsible for the assessment of patients care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of patient care

Participates in team leadership and the management of the ward/department, including supervision and delegation of work to junior staff as directed by the ward/department manager

Participates in teaching, mentoring and assessing of students, trainees and professional staff


Person Specification


Knowledge

* Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality.


Experience


Skills

* Good verbal and written command of English.
* Good communication/interpersonal skills
* Ability to plan own time and that of junior staff, use own initiative and act independently within the bounds of existing knowledge and skills
* Capable of working within a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to assess patient needs and plan, implement and evaluate care appropriately


Qualifications

* UK Registered Nurse (Adult Nursing) **
* Evidence of recent and Continuous Professional Development


Other Requirements

* Demonstrates a commitment to develop both personally and professionally within the role as the service needs require
