A forward-thinking secondary school in Huddersfield, HD8 is looking for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach predominantly French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students discover the value of languages both inside and beyond the classroom.
What you'll be doing
* Planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teaching French and Spanish to students of varying abilities
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident to participate
* Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
* Preparing students for GCSE examinations
* Contributing to the wider life of the MFL department and school community
We're looking for someone who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Has experience teaching French and/or Spanish at secondary level
* Is passionate about language learning and cultural awareness
* Can inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities
* Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
* Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for every learner
You'll stand out if you have:
* Experience teaching both French and Spanish to GCSE level
* Strong GCSE results and a track record of raising attainment
* Experience supporting intervention or enrichment activities
* Knowledge of current MFL curriculum developments and assessment requirements
