Lecturer - Electrical
Location: Northamptonshire
Full-time (37 hours per week)
Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications)
44 days holiday (including bank holidays)
About the Role
As a Lecturer in Electrical, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of electrical courses, supporting students to build both practical and theoretical knowledge. You will also support curriculum development, student progress and the delivery of industry-relevant learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching across electrical programmes
* Assess student work and monitor learner progress
* Act as a course tutor, supporting student achievement and attendance
* Deliver practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning
* Support curriculum development in line with industry demands
* Participate in student recruitment activities such as open days and careers events
* Contribute to quality assurance and internal verification processes
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across all activities
About You
* You will have experience within the electrical or construction industry and a passion for developing future talent.
* Whether you're already working in education or looking to move into teaching from industry, you'll be confident sharing your knowledge and supporting learners to succeed.
* You’ll be organised, approachable and able to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
Essential Requirements
* Level 2 qualification in Electrical or related area
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
* Industry experience within the construction/electrical sector
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to motivate and engage learnersWillingness to work towards a teaching qualification
Desirable
* Level 3 Electrical qualification
* Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
* Assessor or IQA qualification, or willingness to work towards one
* Experience working in FE or HE
