Role Overview:
The Project Application Engineer will deliver process control system solutions to customers. This hands-on engineering role involves delivering SCADA and process control systems across all project phases, including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and training.
Work arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with customers to define system requirements
* Design detailed automation systems, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems
* Create Functional and Test Specifications
* Implement control and SCADA application software
* Conduct system testing
* Assist in system commissioning
* Provide technical and sales support
* Work effectively as part of a team, achieving objectives
* Coordinate with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers on projects
* Mentor junior team members
* Conduct customer site visits for system start-up, commissioning, emergency restoration, training, and technical support
Qualifications and Attributes:
* Proven experience in control systems implementation and related services
* Degree in Control and Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
* Experience with SCADA systems, particularly Aveva System Platform
* Experience with Functional Specifications, Test Specifications, and Application Engineering
* Strong business acumen and technical skills
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Strong analytical and planning abilities
* Willingness to travel occasionally
