Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!
Contract: 35 hours per week plus sleep-in shifts
Salary: Basic salary of £22,367.80, with potential earnings up to £27,983.80 including sleep-in shifts
Location: Leeds
Are you a committed and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? LCS is on the lookout for passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team! This full-time role involves 35 hours per week plus 2 sleep-ins, with opportunities for additional hours.
You'll be working on a rota basis, which may include evenings and weekends, so flexibility in your availability is essential!

Your Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
* Engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their individual flats or shared houses.
* Ensure a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for the young people you support.
Your Responsibilities
Duties will include:
* Offering practical support and guidance in line with individual care plans to help young people develop independent living skills and achieve educational success.
* Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
* Supporting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, documenting their progress and submitting evidence to instructors.
* Building community links with educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
What We’re Looking For
All applicants must have:
* Flexibility for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
* A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to study towards this.
* Experience with attachment and trauma (desirable).
* Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues (desirable).
* An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), though good public transport links are available.
* Intermediate computer skills.
