Based in our Midlands Depot located between Stamford and Grantham we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Assistant & Relief Driver. This role will require someone to work full time, Monday - Friday. You will be working in a small team, but this role is key to the depot.
The main role is warehouse work, but you will be expected to cover driving routes when requested to do so.
The post holder will be expected to promote and maintain effective channels of communication at all levels between various departments. The working relationship between all members of staff should be mutually supportive, with staff deputising and covering for each other when appropriate.

Responsibilities
* Goods receiving and product pick and pack for distribution
* Accurately pick orders, following stock rotation and traceability systems.
* Wrap and pack goods for dispatch, ensuring products are sufficiently protected to guarantee their safety and integrity.
* Receive and book goods into the system
* Multi drop driver cover - when required to cover, deliver goods to our restaurant and deli customers.
* To assist in day-to-day cleaning as set down in the company cleaning schedules, and in accordance with the company's policy and procedures.
General
· To undertake additional tasks, commensurate with status, after consultation and the provision of necessary support and training if appropriate.
· To operate within all Brindisa policies and procedures.
· To represent Brindisa as necessary and appropriately on matters connected with the post internally and externally.
Health & Safety
All staff have a responsibility to maintain health & safety of self and others within the performance of duties in accordance with the company health & safety policy and to undertake specific health & safety responsibilities as directed.
Food Safety
All staff have the responsibility to adhere to the Hygiene Policy and company protocols, and to always act so as to not to jeopardise the integrity, safety, legality and quality of Brindisa products.
They must report any equipment fault that may put the products or themselves at risk.
Essential
· 2 years Clean UK Driving license
· Forklift operation certificate
· 2 years' experience in working in a warehouse environment
· 2 years' experience working as a driver
· Effective organizational ability over wide range of tasks
· Experience of accepting & checking deliveries
· Working in a Picking & Packing environment
· Excellent time management ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
· Organised, with attention to detail ensuring accuracy in paperwork and compliance with procedures
· Able to deal with a fast paced and challenging role
· Good Outlook, Word and Excel skills (Intermediate)
· Ability to work un-supervised
· Ability to communicate effectively
Desirable
· Class 2 Driving License
· Intermediate Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office & Sales ledger entry
· Experience of working in the food/retail industry
