Senior Bid Manager - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
Location: Walsall (with hybrid working and travel to regional offices)

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join a well‑established and forward‑thinking organisation at the forefront of UK infrastructure delivery. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development and submission of high‑quality, winning bids – working closely with senior leadership, technical specialists and commercial teams to secure new projects that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop business opportunities aligned with the company strategy.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
* Lead the preparation of PQQs, tenders and commercial submissions.
* Develop clear bid strategies and manage risk and governance processes.
* Write and review high‑quality, compelling responses with input from technical teams.
* Oversee bid handovers to operational teams following contract award.
* Mentor and support bid managers and coordinators to drive best practice.
About You
Essential
* Background in civil engineering, infrastructure or commercial bid management.
* Proven experience leading successful multi‑disciplinary bid teams.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of risk and governance.
* Excellent written communication skills for technical and persuasive content.
Desirable
* Chartered or Incorporated status (or working towards it).
* Experience within civil, MEICA or built environment sectors.
* Process improvement and business development experience.
