Overview
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems, along with a background in food and beverage service, is highly desirable. The position offers opportunities to work in various settings including fine dining, nightclubs, banquet events, and catering services.
Duties
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems.
* Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction.
* Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
* Restock supplies as needed and ensure all bar equipment is functioning properly.
* Assist in setting up for events such as banquets or catering functions when required.
* Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adherence to alcohol regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy hours, especially during night shifts or nightclub events.
Requirements
* Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, preferably within fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
* Familiarity with POS systems
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional attitude.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
* Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills accurately.
* Experience in serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal regulations.
* Ability to work flexible hours including nights; experience in nightlife or brewing environments is a plus.
