About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our growing EMEA Finance team. Based in Lichfield and reporting to the European Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in managing statutory compliance across our European entities, supporting audits, preparing financial statements, and bridging the gap between US GAAP and local statutory requirements.

Your Main Responsibilities
* Coordinate statutory audits across European subsidiaries
* Prepare trial balances and supporting documentation
* Liaise with local accountants and external auditors to resolve queries
* Ensure timely preparation, approval, and filing of financial statements
* Track and document reporting differences between US GAAP and local GAAP
* Assist with quarterly tax provisions and ensure timely filing of tax returns
* Support internal and external stakeholders with accurate financial data
* Help prepare bridging documentation and journal entries for reporting gaps
* Document accounting processes and compliance practices
* Collaborate with teams across departments and geographies to ensure consistency and efficiency
* Contribute to continuous improvements within the Finance function
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Recognized professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
* 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally with exposure to audits and statutory reporting
* Experience in an international or multi-entity environment is highly valued
* Prior exposure to bridging US GAAP with local GAAP is a plus
* Solid knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
* Familiar with accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks across European jurisdictions
* Fluent English (C1+ level) is required
* Other European languages are a strong asset
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Comfortable working under deadlines in a dynamic, multicultural environment
