To drive business growth across the UK, Europe, and West Africa by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and converting prospects into profitable projects aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
The role focuses on market development, tendering, and strategic engagement within the offshore, marine, oil & gas, and energy sectors.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
* Develop and implement business development strategies for the UK, Europe, and West Africa regions in line with company objectives.
* Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, clients, and strategic partnerships.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, EPC contractors, shipyards, operators, and key stakeholders.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects to position the company effectively.
* Coordinate and support the preparation of pre‑qualifications, expressions of interest, and tender submissions.
* Work closely with operations, engineering, estimation, and finance teams to develop competitive and compliant proposals.
* Lead commercial discussions, clarifications, and negotiations with clients up to contract award.
* Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.
* Maintain accurate records of opportunities, leads, and client interactions in CRM or reporting systems.
* Support strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting of business development activities to management.
* Ensure all business development activities comply with internal governance, ethical standards, and commercial policies.

Key Qualifications & experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in business development or sales within offshore, marine, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
* Strong network and market knowledge across the UK, Europe, and/or West Africa.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and strategically across multiple regions.
