Are you detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills and a passion for healthcare? We're seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our expanding specialised Aseptic Services team.
The Cancer Services Division at UHB delivers world class cancer care to patients from across the country, with a range of specialised services in oncology and haematology, delivered by a team of specialist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistant technical officers.
In this vital role, you'll be at the heart of our pharmacy operations, supporting the preparation of critical medications including cytotoxic drugs and monoclonal antibodies in a controlled environment. Working alongside experienced Pharmacy Technicians, you'll ensure patients receive safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to strict quality standards.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to professional development in pharmaceutical services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
*Support the preparation and assembly of specialised medications in a clean room environment
*Perform specialised cleaning duties and essential environmental monitoring and quality assurance checks
*Maintain equipment and facilities to the highest standards
*Issue stocks and maintain good stock control in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
*Contribute to the department's continuous improvement initiatives

* *Holds or is willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) and BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Pharmaceutical Science
