Level 3 Trainee Accountant
Location: Brighton
Contract: Full-time
Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Join our dynamic Regulatory and Technical Reporting team and play a key role in delivering essential financial insights that shape the future of our business.
Why this role matters
You’ll be at the heart of producing critical regulatory reports (Solvency UK/II, FCA) and supporting our actuarial and finance teams with accurate, timely analysis. Your work will help ensure compliance, strengthen decision‑making, and maintain the integrity of our financial systems.
What you’ll do
* Deliver Solvency UK/II reporting, including qualitative templates and the Solvency Financial Condition Report.
* Provide analysis for actuarial surplus reviews.
* Maintain and manage the reporting timetable, collaborating across finance and actuarial teams.
* Prepare quarterly, half‑yearly, and annual FCA and MiFID returns.
* Produce monthly Capital Management analysis for subsidiary companies.
* Support year‑end audits when required.
* Partner with the Deputy Group Financial Controller and wider team to meet key objectives.
* Contribute to broader finance initiatives and process improvements.
What we’re looking for
* Final‑stage CIMA or ACCA studies.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
* A proactive, adaptable, and positive mindset.
* Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Financial services experience and technical accounting knowledge.
* Confident user of Excel (including advanced formulas) and PowerPoint.
