Title of the Position: Remote Account Manager (RAM)
Department: Direct Sales
Sub-Department: Inside Sales
Territory: FRBNL but may occasionally be required to support other regions.
Reports to: Inside Sales Team Leader and European Sales Manager.
Location: Remote: candidate must be based in the UK or Germany.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a Remote Account Manager (RAM) to support and drive business development within the FRBNL region. This role will play a key part in strengthening the sales pipeline by assisting the field sales team with lead qualification and generation, account management, vacant territory support, and other sales support tasks as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life science research, a proactive sales mentality, and the ability to manage account relationships virtually. This position is well-suited for individuals looking for a flexible, home-based role that offers a blend of independent sales initiatives and collaboration with the field sales team to maximize commercial success.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Sales Prospection: Proactively identify new business opportunities and generate leads through virtual outreach, cold calling, and networking.
* Lead Qualification: Qualify new leads to build a strong pipeline and prepare clients for more in-depth sales engagement.
* Account Management: Maintain and grow business within designated accounts, ensuring client needs are met, and identifying opportunities to expand Takara Bio's footprint.
* Vacant Territory Support: Support areas without dedicated Territory Managers, ensuring consistent customer communication and responsiveness.
* CRM Management: Record all sales activities and client interactions in existing CRM tool within 24 hours to maintain accurate data and support forecasting.
* Customer Relationship Development: Build long-lasting client relationships through consistent communication and a personalized approach.
* Market and Competitive Insights: Monitor and report on market trends, competitive activities, and growth opportunities within the territory.
* Support for Inside Sales Representative (ISR): During peak periods, assist ISRs with back-office support tasks, including tender management, InfoBox inquiries, and other sales support activities.
* Additional Responsibilities: May be requested to undertake tasks outside of the standard job responsibilities to support team goals and organizational needs.
Education Requirement
* Minimum MSc or PhD in Cell, Molecular Biology, or related life science discipline.
Experience Requirement
* Some sales experience, within or outside of science, would give a significant advantage.
* Familiarity with virtual sales tools, including MS Teams and Zoom.
* Minimum of 2 years’ lab experience in Cell or Molecular Biology or related areas.
* Strong communication skills, with proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce.
