 
        
        Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit an Estimating Manager for a large and highly reputable Civil Engineering contractor based in the North East.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an individual to join the business in a senior capacity with a clear progression route to an even more senior level position.
This role is to lead the estimating function, with responsibility for leading a small dedicated team of Estimators.
Duties to include:
 * Preparing cost estimates
 * Assessing project risks
 * Evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers
 * Preparation of cost reports
 * Communication / interaction with clients / stakeholders.
Required skills include the ability to read and interpret project information (including drawings and specifications), proficient in estimating packages / software, technical skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, a team player.
