As an HGV technician, you will be joining our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre. You will ensure repairs are carried out according to Volvo's standards. We are at the forefront of Electromobility, so you will work on systems including alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid, and full electric vehicles.
Don’t worry if you lack experience with these systems; training will be provided, starting with an induction and foundational events, followed by online and in-person courses. You can train to become a Master Technician with an IMI Level 4 qualification.

City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required. Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in HGV or commercial vehicle industry is essential. Basic computer skills are preferred.
What you'll do:
You will be responsible for vehicle repairs to high standards, ensuring safety and quality. You should have technical competency in HGV maintenance, good communication skills, and flexibility to adapt and learn new processes. Participation in training and a proactive approach are expected.
* Ensure repairs adhere to manufacturer procedures and Volvo standards
* Assist in fault diagnosis and warranty procedures
* Work with parts team to ensure correct parts are fitted
* Road test vehicles if licensed
* Support roadside breakdowns
* Accurately complete job cards and service sheets
* Report vehicle defects and maintain workshop facilities
* Support training of trainees and apprentices
