We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Plymouth working on our Kier BAM Joint Venture's 10 Dock framework.
The focus of the role is managing the production of contractor design elements.
Location: Can be based from Plymouth along with home working
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Responsibilities
As a Design Manager, you will provide technical support for the 10 Dock project with engineering expertise for specification, design, and construction of projects in accordance with company requirements, industry standards and regulatory codes. You will be managing the permanent works design.
Your day to day will include:
* Understand and communicate technical risk for Kier BAM Joint Venture as well as helping the delivery teams manage this risk.
* Always look for strategic technologies to improve the delivery.
* Support innovations and develop new technologies to improve the delivery.
* Help develop new solutions and work through technical issues.
* Manage the design process during the pre-construction and as required, the construction phase.
What are we looking for?
This role of Design Manager is great for you if:
* You hold Level 6 National Qualification Level in an engineering related subject (e.g. degree with honours, level 6 award, level 6 certificate) or Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
* Awareness of the latest relevant standards affecting engineering delivers e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 19650, PAS 1192.
* Basic Autodesk CAD software package knowledge and skills.
* Full driving license.
