Start : 11 th September 2025 Rota : Live-In / 7 days on / 7 days off (During university term) Location : Southampton Solent University (SO14) Pay : £180 per day / £1,260 per week worked Free accommodation whilst on shift About the Job: Our client is excited to be moving to Southampton Solent university halls for her second year of study. This year will include a placement in a professional setting that you will attend with the client. She is looking for a team of two friendly personal care assistants that will support her daily, ensuring that care is delivered in a respectful and discreet manner. Day to day you will assist her with: - Personal Care - Assisting with dog training - Health Care - Social Support - Housekeeping / Domestic duties - Transportation You will be required to drive the clients automatic vehicle. Care experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided. About our Client: Our client is bubbly, fun-loving, and doesnt let her health challenges stop her from enjoying life. She has a variety of complex health issues and is a powered wheelchair user. She adores her 7-month-old assistance dog, Leo, who will be living in halls with her. Youll play a key role in helping with Leos daily training so hes ready to pass his final exams with flying colours. Your responsibilities will encompass every aspect of daily life to ensure their comfort and quality of life. As written by the client I chose to study a Social Work degree because I am a caring person and want to help people to further their current life situation if that is possible in their life story. I have a good sense of humour; I tend to laugh at my struggles so I need someone that will also laugh at them. I like to try new recipes when cooking and baking. I need support with this but want to try and be as independent as possible. I like to watch films, true crime documentaries, medical dramas like Greys Anatomy. I may want to spend some time alone so as long as you are reachable either by phone or text, you can do your own thing. An Ideal PA will have: - A valid UK Driving License ( Essential ) - Confident and comfortable around an assistance dog in training ( Essential ) - A caring and patient nature - Reliable and punctual - Have strong English writing and speaking skills - Have a great sense of humour Due to the personal care needs of the client, this role is open to female applicants only.
