We urgently require a contract Infrastructure Engineer to support a client in Kent. The role will incude a mix of Project and Support work and needs someone with a flexible attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of technologies.
Required Knowledge/Awareness:
* Proficiency in Windows 2003-2022 Server environments.
* High level of knowledge within Azure.
* TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, VPNs, VLANs
* SolarWinds monitoring tool.
* VMware vSphere, Azure VMWare Solution (AVS) and Hyper-V.
* Citrix Cloud.
* Backup - Tivoli, Azure and Veeam.
* Azure Costs Savings recommendations.
* DNS & SSL Certificates.
* Windows Patching/Vulnerabilities.
* Security Practices.
Tasks:
* Project work Building and implementing new servers, working with 3rd parties.
* Proactively checking the infrastructure call queue in Jira.
* Providing and keeping documentation updated (Confluence).
* Working with helpdesk and users on a day-to-day basis.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues quickly and effectively
