Our client in Stoke on Trent is recruiting for a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver various training courses, focusing on Maths and English skills, in addition to Digital Skills and Employability Skills. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will support learners closely who are undertaking Apprenticeship courses or individuals who are returning to work. A driving licence is essential for this role.\n \n Duties for the Functional Skills Tutor will include:\n \nPrepare and deliver Functional skills sessions for Maths, English and Digital Skills through in-centre programmes, by attending their workplaces and also through online courses \nConduct assessments to produce Individualised Learning Plans and then monitor the learner's progress through regular reviews to ensure achievements are being met \nCreate teaching resources, including lesson plans, assignments and assessments for individual learners \nEnsure the teaching aligns with NOCN standards and support with regular SPAG checks \nIdentify additional learning requirements \nEnsure compliance in all areas \nMonitor performance against KPIs to support learner progress \nKeep up to date with developments in Functional Skills and relevant national awards \nCollaborate effectively with Training Officers, employers and other key stakeholders to monitor and support learner progression \nActively participate in Ofsted inspections, awarding body quality visits,...
