About the Role

Lamledge School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, supportive team. This is more than a classroom support role — it is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of needs. You will help them grow in confidence, achieve their potential, and explore new possibilities in a nurturing and inspiring environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

1. Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons
2. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, tailoring assistance to individual needs and EHCPs where applicable
3. Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom activities
4. Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, helping them build resilience, independence, and confidence
5. Engage pupils in learning both inside the classroom and in outdoor activities

About You / Requirements

6. Teaching qualification or relevant certification
7. Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
8. Care, flexibility, and an enthusiastic approach to supporting pupils
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
