Commissioning Engineers – TipTopJob
Salary: £40k–£55k + overtime + benefits
Location: East Midlands / London (Hounslow / Heathrow Airport)
Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems, primarily to the transportation, airport and power infrastructure industry. They are now seeking to recruit Commissioning Engineers to complement their team of electrical and control professionals.
Responsibilities
* Working a combination of days and nights (primarily at London Heathrow in Hounslow), the role works alongside the project team and development engineers during the commissioning stages of multiple projects, ensuring a smooth handover to the customer.
* Checking installation of equipment is to the correct standard prior to starting testing.
* Performing testing of a system according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document.
* PLC data input tests, including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.
* Field device set‑up.
* Performing site acceptance tests, fault finding and correction of any PLC code or wiring issues.
* Producing documentation such as RAMs, test documentation and weekly progress reports.
* Attending site progress meetings, toolbox talks etc. and providing professional representation of the business, especially during client‑facing test conditions.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years of relevant commissioning work experience.
* Qualified to at least level 3 Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or above in electrical or control engineering.
* Full UK driving licence.
* No criminal convictions (required for security clearances by airport authorities).
