GPN Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Buckinghamshire who are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their team. who are looking to recruit an ambitious This is an excellent opportunity for a nearly qualified ACA or ACCA studier to join a supportive and technically strong firm offering genuine responsibility, varied client exposure and clear progression opportunities.
The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts preparation, with the successful candidate expected to lead audits from planning through to completion whilst working closely with managers and partners. The firm works with a diverse and interesting client portfolio across sectors including renewable energy, construction-related businesses, manufacturing, gaming, charities, professional services and waste management, with turnovers ranging up to £80m.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading audits from planning through to completion
Carrying out audit fieldwork both on-site and in the office
Acting as a key point of contact for clients during assignments
Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102
Assisting in the supervision and support of junior team members
Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards
Building strong client relationships and delivering a high level of service
Qualifications and Skills:
ACA or ACCA part-qualified and approaching qualification
Strong UK practice audit experience
Experience leading audits from planning through to completion
Good understanding of UK accounting and audit standards
Strong communication and organisational skills
Accounts preparation experience would be beneficial, although candidates with a predominantly audit background will also be considered
Motivated, professional and keen to progress within practice and a desire to work in audit
