Job Title
Experienced Bench Worker (Production)
Job Description
· Bench Operator/Fabricator early shift (Monday to Thursday 06:00am to 02:15pm)
· Operate and setup various types of drilling machines/Pem Machines
· Operate/Load Robot and Cobot welders
· Learn to operate CNC Laser cutting/Punchpress and Brakepress
· Interpret work orders and work instructions
· Carry out grinding and finishing activities
· Competitive hourly pay (including occasional O/T at 1.5x normal pay).
· Permanent staffing after a standard probationary period
Responsibilities
· Perform quality drilling and grinding activities.
· To read and interpret engineering drawings and carry out fabrication tasks as required.
· Conduct quality checks on your own work and promptly raise any issues when required.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Communicate clearly and effectively regarding work status.
· A collaborative team player mentality and a commitment to continuous improvement
Skills & Prior Experience (Qualifications)
· Previous experience working in a metal fabrication environment.
· Proficiency in quality workmanship.
· Attention to detail and a collaborative team player mentality are essential.
Compensation
£13 to £15/hr based on prior experience and skillset; 1.5x overtime pay
Holiday Allowance
21 days holiday per year (3 held for Christmas time) + Bank Holidays
